Ingredients
- ½ Cup Cannabis-Infused Butter mixed with Regular Butter (¼ Cup of Each)
- 3 Eggs
- 2 Cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
- 2 Cans Milk (Condensed)
- 1 Cup Key Lime Juice
- ½ Cup Sugar
- ½ Cup Sour Cream
- Some Lime Zest

Decadent desserts. Some are more classic than others, but there’s still no denying their deliciously rich nature and flavor profile. New or old, these post-dinner delights always hit the spot with their delectable accents and intricate tastes. Some may go for a simple black coffee after their meal, while others completely skip out on dessert altogether. But I find that to be absolutely insane!Look, I understand. If you’re full, you’re full. But that just proves to me that you didn’t know how to ration out your hunger. I mean, if you’re going to go the lengths of actually going out to a restaurant to have a meal, then have a complete meal, that’s what I say!

That’s the only way to go about such an outing, in my personal opinion. Anything less, and you’re just short-changing yourself out of a quality culinary experience. How many times have you completely annihilated a frozen pizza at home, and still found room in that tummy of yours for a couple scoops of ice cream before calling it a night? If you said anything but “every time” – I’m sorry, but you’re a liar. There’s always room for dessert, party people. In short, thank goodness for desserts. They are the best way to top off a culinary experience, and they should never be ignored by a patron – ever.

There are various ice creams, different cakes, and even a creme brulee every now and then. The choices are truly limitless. And while there is a plethora of tasty options to choose from, my heart always goes for a classic slice of pie whenever I spot it on a restaurant’s menu.Which pie, you ask? Why, none other than the world-renowned, Key Lime Pie, of course!This one-of-a-kind sweet and citrusy baked good is one of my all-time go-to’s when it comes to dessert. And I sincerely doubt that anything will ever knock it from its prestigious, sugar-laden spot in my heart. It really is that phenomenal. Throughout my entire life, I’ve always looked at key lime pie as an industry standard. All other pies had to hope to live up to this citrus-centric counterpart. But, even though I assumed nothing could be altered about its recipe to make it even better, I recently realized that there is one ingredient that could accomplish that otherwise unachievable task.That ingredient, ladies and gentlemen, is everybody’s favorite herbal supplement: marijuana.That’s right, people! I’m about to teach you how to make a seriously awesome Cannabis Key Lime Pie. And it’s a whole lot easier than you may think it is.

For all intents and purposes, I’m sure you can pick up a tub of this stuff from your local dispensary. However, if you’re curious about how to make a batch of cannabis-infused butter in the comfort of your own kitchen, allow me to break down the process for you as quickly as possible.

Cannabis-infused butter Instructions
- Preheated oven at 240°F.
- First, you’ll need to roughly break down 8-10 grams of your preferred cannabis flower. Throw those budlets onto a cookie sheet that’s lined with parchment paper. Take that cookie sheet full of nugs, and place it into a preheated oven at 240°F. Keep it in there for 35-40 minutes. At that point, remove the cookie sheet, and place a large saucepan over a heat source set on “medium.”
- In that saucepan, place 2 sticks of non-medicated butter and 1 cup of water. Allow the butter to melt before adding in the newly decarboxylated flower. Also, after removing the bud from the oven, be sure to grind it up as fine as possible. Stir in the decarbed, finely-ground flower in with the butter. Allow these ingredients to simmer with one another for 2-3 hours. `
- Once that time period has elapsed, ready a container for storage by securing a cheesecloth over the opening of it. Through the straining cheesecloth opening, pour the contents of the saucepan into the container, allowing the chunky floral elements to get trapped in the cloth before making their way into the butter mixture. And that’s it.
- Place the container full of butter into the fridge to harden to your desired butter consistency, and you’re done.
Cannabis Key Lime Pie Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 340°
- To get things started, you’ll need to preheat your oven to 340°. While that sucker is warming up, grab a large bowl for mixing. In it, you’ll want to toss in your butter, sugar, and graham cracker crumbs. This is going to be the crust for your pie.
- So, after everything is mixed together, press the contents down into a prepped pan and bake that bad boy for about 5 minutes.
- Following that, you’ll want to get your hands on another large bowl, again this will be for mixing, so be sure to use a bowl that’s substantial in size. In this bowl, whisk together your key lime juice, sour cream, eggs, and condensed milk. Keep whisking those contents together until you achieve a smooth consistency.
Notes
Once you’ve gotten that mixture to where it needs to be, dump it into that nearby pie pan, and place it back in the oven for another 5 minutes or so. That should be all the time needed for this pie to cook. When that time has come and gone, remove the pie from the oven and let that baby cool down. Don’t be hasty, either. Give it around 2 hours to mellow out in a cool, dry place.
When you think it’s ready to eat, you can choose to go at it as is, or you can get real fancy with it and add some additional lime zest to each piece. I find that the latter really adds an unexpected level of class to the overall dish.
