Okay, enough messing around. Let's get into this recipe already!
Per the usual procedure with mac and cheese, let's get ourselves a pot of boiling water. Be sure to have some salt in there, as well. This, of course, is purely up to your personal taste preference.
Once that water has come to a boil on high heat, you can toss in your macaroni. Allow that to cook in the pot for nearly 10 minutes. At this point, you can head on over to your sink and drain out the remaining liquid.
Preheat oven to 400°
While that's getting warmed up, you'll want to find yourself a small saucepan. On your stove, in that saucepan, you're going to heat up a few things. You'll start by adding in the milk but follow that up with thyme, and a couple of those cloves of garlic.
In a separate, somewhat larger skillet, you'll want to melt your cannabis-infused butter. Do so over medium heat so as not to burn your butter, which would render it utterly and completely useless. So be careful.
After about a minute or so, toss in some flour and whisk it until it's expertly blended in. Be sure to keep stirring. You don't want any off-putting lumps in your mixture, trust me.
After that, using whichever device you'd like, strain the chunky parts out of the milk from the other saucepan. Then add it to the butter and flour saucepan.
At that point, you can add in your cheese.
Again, you'll want to keep that stirring of yours on "full-blast." This stirring helps the cheese get to a nice, melty texture. You can now season this bad boy to your liking. Throw in as much salt and/or pepper as you see fit. There are no wrong answers here, people.
Now toss in the noodles, along with the parsley.
Using a wooden spoon or spatula, you'll want to fold the contents into each other. This allows for all the cheese and flavors to find their way into every nook and cranny. Which translates itself into a truly tasty experience.
Then, find yourself a decent-sized baking dish to dump this mixture into. After you've successfully poured all that macaroni into the baking dish, dust off the top of your blend with some remaining cheese. Anything close to 2 cups should suffice.
Now, all you have to do with these noodles is throw them in the oven for a half-hour. You'll know they're ready when everything is bubbling.
However, all is not done just yet. You still need to make your bacon. But you know how to do that.
Simply, saute some bacon strips on a hot pan. You can add some thyme into the pan for some added flavor if you'd like. But it is, in no way, a necessity.
Also, if you'd like to add some additional salt to your bacon as it cooks, by all means, go crazy. Either way, once that bacon is good and crispy, remove it from the pan and dab it with a paper towel to remove any excess grease. When that is completed, chop up your strips into nice bite-sized chunks.
