I love me some Mexican food. There is something invigorating about the blend of tastes that this tremendous cuisine is able to provide on a consistent basis that I simply cannot get enough of. I mean, there is a reason Taco Bell is one of the most beloved fast-food chains in the world.
Obviously, as much as I love TB, I can never call them “real, authentic Mexican food” without getting a few angry stares. I get that. Fast-food is hardly even “food” when you think about it. Actually, strike that. The more I think about fast-food, the less I want it.
However, there is something I always want whenever I go to a place that sells fine Mexican food. That my friends, is the world-renowned quesadilla.

Take Your Meal To The Next-Level With THC Quesadillas
There is a certain brilliance to its simplistic nature, too. Not to mention the level of versatility this humble meal can provide. You can fill up these bad boys with as many (or as few) ingredients as you’d like. While I may be “technically” wrong in saying this: I believe a quesadilla is anything stuffed between two delicious tortillas. I don’t think I’m the only one who shares that methodology.
While I could go on and on about its differing varieties, I must be sure to share my admiration for its beyond easy re-creation elements. Anyone, regardless of culinary skills, can accurately recreate any sort of quesadilla on their own in their home kitchen. It is one of the easiest recipes out there. In fact, I believe the only way you can screw up a quesadilla is through negligence. If you don’t pay attention to it, it will burn. At that point, it’s on you.
If you follow the short step-by-step process, even remotely correctly, you will wind up with a really tasty treat and/or meal. Which is just another reason to love these flat pieces of cheesy greatness. They can serve as an adequate “pick me up” if you’re not in the mood to chow down. Or, if you are feeling a bit more than peckish, you can fire up a nice, hearty one of these puppies to chase away that hunger. When it comes to quesadillas, there are no wrong answers.
If you can’t tell already, I’m a bit obsessed with this wildly popular meal. Quesadillas are easily in my “Top 5” when it comes to snacks. I’m sure the same could be said for most of you too. While these bits of scrumptiousness are damn near perfect in every single way, what if I told you I knew how to make them even better? What if I told you I planned to use cannabis to do it?
That’s right. I’m about to share a recipe with you that may change your entire “munchie” game forever. Ladies and gentlemen, I hope you’re sitting down, because I’m about to teach you how to make some super dank, super cheesy, super delicious THC Quesadillas.

However, before we get into the main recipe, you will need to make sure you have some cannabis-infused cooking oil on hand. Without that, these babies will just be regular quesadillas, which still, to be fair, sounds pretty good. But let’s put in a little extra effort in order to take this batch to the next level, shall we?
Now, of course, you could easily head on over to your local dispensary, and pick up some professionally made THC-infused cooking oil. These products are routinely quality, and there is absolutely no problem in picking some up for this recipe, and many others in the future. Personally, I prefer to whip up my own batch at home. It’s just more fun that way, in my opinion.
In order to do that, you will need roughly a cup of ground cannabis flower and a cup of cooking oil (olive, coconut, etc.). In a saucepan, place your cannabis flowers. Make sure the heat is at around 240°. Any higher, and this whole batch would be ruined. At this low temperature, the marijuana is about to enter its decarboxylation process.
The decarboxylation process is when the THCa component of cannabis transforms into the psychoactive element of THC, through heat. This activates those flowers to unleash their cannabis powers onto anything it fuses with, in this case – cooking oil. At this point, toss in that cup of cooking oil.
Let those simmer on a low heat for awhile, a couple hours or so. That way the THC can find its way throughout the entire batch of oil you are creating. When that time minimum has been hit, grab some cheesecloth and a bottle to store the newly-infused oil. Straining out the floral components of the mixture, pour the oil into the aforementioned bottle.
Be sure not to squeeze the cheesecloth. I’m sure you think this will be a quicker way to drain the oil, but it will only help small pieces of floral elements fall into your end product – and nobody wants that. So, just practice a little patience when pouring, and you will be fine.
And that is it. You have successfully created some cannabis-infused oil. See, that wasn’t so hard, right? If you can believe it, the recipe to make these THC Quesadillas is even easier than that!
Now, sure, you could use a typical stove top and saucepan for this recipe. You could even use a griddle if you have one. But I enjoy using my outdoor grill for my quesadillas. I feel like it adds a perfect crispiness to the tortillas that you would find at most restaurants. Again, it's not a requirement, but if you have one, I would suggest you use it.

That is going to be my heat source for this recipe, anyway.
Let’s do a quick breakdown on what ingredients you will need. Again, for the interior of a quesadilla, you can do anything you want. The items that I have chosen to go with have never let me down yet. But, please, by all means, customize this recipe. Make it your own. I know we’d love to hear all about your crazy combinations. But for now, if you are looking for a guaranteed good meal, pick up the following ingredients, and follow me to Flavor town.
That is it. Yes, you read that right. I’m going with Swiss cheese for this quesadilla. Of course, Mexican Cheese works more than fine as a replacement, but there is something intoxicating about the “cheese pull” a solid Swiss creates that always looks amazing.

Instructions

  • Now that we have everything in order, let’s fire up that grill and get started.
  • As that baby gets good and hot, grab your tortillas and brush each side (liberally) with your cannabis-infused cooking oil. This is, obviously, where your potency will come in.
  • So, feel free to add as much as your heart desires. Once you have them nice and slathered in that THC oil, place them gently on the grill.
  • Now, comes the time to add the innards, as they say. Pick up that pulled pork and Swiss cheese, and place them evenly atop each tortilla. Be strategic with your placement, too.
  • You’ll want to ensure that every bite, regardless of location, will be full of cheesy, porky greatness. Then place another, equally oiled-up tortilla on top of that, and press down with a metal spatula.

Notes

I’d say give each side a couple minutes (at least) to cook. You’ll know you are done when each side sports a nice brown char. The only thing left to do at this point is grab a plate and chow down on some delicious THC Quesadillas.
Stoned appetit, fellow enthusiasts!
