First and foremost, you are going to need some cannabis. Duh. But you won’t need as much as you would for other, let’s say edible recipes. Those tend to require at least a half ounce of finely ground bud in order for their final product to elicit any sort of potency. Seeing as how alcohol will also play a factor in this creation, there is not a whole lot of bud needed to be infused into this already intoxicatingly delicious beverage. Which is why you will only need (roughly) an 1/8th or so of broken down nugs.
If you are lucky enough to procure all of those aforementioned items, then I would strongly suggest rolling up your sleeves, and getting ready to create some of the most amazing THC-enriched Sangria that you have ever had.
Of course, with any THC-infused homemade treat, you are going to want to decarb your cannabis in order to activate that beloved psychoactive ingredient, THC, from your bud. I would suggest doing that in the oven at around 240° for a little over a half hour - but don’t overdo it, because that could ultimately burn and ruin your nugs - so be sure to keep an eye on it during this first step.
Once that initial step is completed, use your cheesecloth as a sort of makeshift tea bag, and place your newly carboxylated cannabis inside of it. Feel free to use some twine or string to tighten it up at the top, so as not to let any of the floral contents spill out. After you have successfully constructed a DIY tea bag for your bud, place it inside your bottle of white rum.
Make sure the lid of the bottle of rum is nice and tightly closed before you toss that baby in the refrigerator. Now, you should let this tea bag of THC mix and mingle with its rum counterparts for at least a day, but the longer you keep it in there, the more THC will be infused into your beverage. In this case, patience is not only a virtue, it is a great way to guarantee potency.
While that is taking place, grab your strawberry supply and start cutting those suckers in half - and remove those pesky stems. Also, dice up those mangoes, party people. You are going to want a lot of fruity flavors for this unique Sangria, that is for sure.
Then, grab a saucepan. In it, toss in the water, roughly half of your newly diced strawberries, and the sugar. Allow that combined concoction to come to a boil, after that allow the saucepan full of greatness to simmer. After keeping a vigilant eye on this mixture, let it cool back down to a nice room temperature before grabbing a straining device. With that sieve-esque component, strain that strawberry syrup into a container, and place it alongside its rum-buddy in the fridge.
At this point, you are going to want to grab a sturdy pitcher. Then grab the remaining strawberries and your whole supply of mangoes, and toss ‘em in there. Atop that, grab your strawberry syrup and gently pour it in, along with 1 cup of Sauvignon Blanc, 1 cup of Cannabis-infused Rum, and some orange juice - be sure to mix them together enough to allow the various flavors to intricately mingle with one another.
Then, toss that pitcher into your fridge for a handful of hours to let those scrumptious tastes reach peak “chillness.”
