Hemp is known to have so many health benefits as time passes and we understand how hemp works more and more. Even the hemp buds are beneficial to us. How so? Read on to find out.
What are Hemp Buds?
The hemp buds are actually the premium flower harvested from hemp plants. While hemp started out as being mainly grown for fiber and grain, it actually has many other benefits. The same applies to the hemp buds.
Benefits of Hemp Buds
You won’t get high off of hemp buds, but they do offer a lot of the same benefits as (and some argue better) marijuana. Some of these benefits may include:
- Controlling seizures
- Helping with anxiety and depression
- Pain Relief
- Anti-Inflammatory Properties
- Could potentially aid in cancer treatments
Hemp buds are also a great source of terpenes. Terpenes are compounds that give plants their smell and flavor. They also offer medicinal benefits and they may enhance the effects of CBD.
Hemp buds also contain higher levels of CBG. CBG is another element found in cannabis and it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and neuroprotective properties. They allow you to have all medicinal benefits, without the psychoactive effects.
How to Use
People that regularly use hemp buds will most likely agree that the best way to get their benefits is to smoke them. Smoking cannabis has actually been scientifically proven to be more bioavailable. This means that your body absorbs the cannabis more naturally than if eaten or applied to the skin.
Side Effects to Hemp Buds
As with most things in life, there are some side effects to smoking hemp buds. However, keep in mind that smoking cannabis is not considered nearly as dangerous as smoking cigarettes. Some smokers even use hemp buds to help them quit cigarettes. Though you may experience some side effects such as:
- Diarrhea
- Drowsiness
- Dry Mouth
- Nausea
If you are concerned about any of these side effects, consult your doctor before trying hemp buds.
Before trying any cannabis product, it is probably a good idea to consult your doctor and make sure that the particular product hasn’t been banned in your area. It is true that hemp buds can potentially be very beneficial, but as with everything else, you must be responsible when using them. If you experience any negative side effects, you should stop using hemp buds immediately and call your doctor.
