Kronicane is sativa-dominant hybrid strain. With THC levels usually around 10-15% and with higher CBD levels, ranging around 10% as well. Created by Breeders Choice by crossing Herijuana and Amnesia Haze, Kronicane was bred as a strong medical strain. This strain is known for its peppery aroma and spicy flavor.
Forest green with light red hairs curling out of every crevice of the buds. A light touch of crystals is visible upon closer inspection, but it takes a close look to notice them. The nugs I received were all quite large, with all of them being the size of a green grape or larger. Super dense buds, with just a touch of crispness, the nugs tore apart easily in my fingers but required my grinder to get them to crumble.
The batch I received had a strong fragrance. I only had to open the container, and I got hit with the aroma. With a combination of a sweet, almost candy aroma, and a spicy pine. It was like wild sugar pinecones covered in sugary sap, thrown on a campfire. This is one of the strains I wish could be turned into an incense fragrance or air freshener. I’d use it all the time.
Spicy pine was the taste I got initially, with a sweet aftertaste of candy. It’s an interesting combination, like taking a bite of spicy food but then washing it down with a sweet drink. I did find this strain to be a little harsh, and I felt every hit I took, but not enough to make me cough, and I think it had more to do with the spicy flavor. The sweet helps negate the harshness, though.
I had to smoke several hits before I really felt anything. After smoking two small bowls, I finally started feeling the effects in my head. With another bowl, I noticed that my body pain had lessened immensely. Even my hip pain was alleviated, and it’s a chronic pain from an old injury. I did feel energized and creative. The effects were long-lasting, and I was even able to skip a regular dose of ibuprofen during the day. It just took a lot for me to get there.
Kronicane is a very solid medical strain. Users looking for relief of chronic pain should check this strain out. I feel this strain was good for a daytime smoke, because no matter how much I smoked, I never got overly high. I found this strain good for a creative spark, activity smoking, and I felt it added focus to my gaming as well.
Beautiful buds, only lacking in crystals, with a wonderfully sweet and piney aroma. A spicy pine flavor makes it a little harsh, but a sweet candy aftertaste lessens the harshness. The effects took a lot of smoking to get, but once they showed up, they were long-lasting, if a little mild. I do want to add that I know I have a pretty high tolerance, and those with a lower tolerance might find the effects easier to get.

Reef Dispensary is located off Sun Valley Blvd. in Sun Valley, Nevada. They currently have two locations in the Reno-Sparks area, with the other store located in Sparks. They do seem to cater to tourists with a fair amount of merchandise available with the store name on it. This is a little odd for this location, as Sun Valley doesn’t really have much of a tourist area. However, this location does cater to locals as well. With a 10% discount for anyone with a local ID. They also have what they call “Industry Day.” Once a week, anyone with a food handlers’ card, casino ID, or other local hospitality service ID can receive 20% off their purchase.
There is always a security guard right inside the door who checks ID, and the budtenders are in full view from the moment the guest walks into the building. I frequent Reef occasionally, the staff is usually friendly, and this time was no exception. My budtender listened to my requests and filled my order with a smile and pleasant small talk. He offered recommendations and was very knowledgeable of the products that were available.
One of the things that sticks out about this dispensary is they have a drive-thru. I’m not sure if it’s just for preordered pickups, or if a person can just drive-thru and make their order. I do intend to try it the next time I make a purchase at this dispensary.
Pro Tip: They give customers a bag for free on their first purchase. After that, they charge for their bags in an attempt to get their customers to reuse them.
