Ah, Las Vegas. When it comes to popular tourist destinations, this bright, vibrant Nevada city is consistently amongst the top places to visit. And for good reason – there is always something to do in this desert oasis. For decades, millions of people, from all over the globe, have made the triumphant trek out to this wonderful location full of unique casinos, shows, and restaurants.

But, in more recent history, this “City of Sin” has slowly transformed into the “City of Cannabis.”  Since the passing of legalized and medicinal marijuana has taken place, there has been a whole new realm of fun that has opened up to any and all visitors to Las Vegas. But they are not the only place that has welcomed marijuana usage with open arms. With each passing month, it seems as though more and more states have started to smarten up, and realize all the positive aspects (and profits) that these sorts of establishments can offer.

For years, it seemed like the only reason people made the pilgrimage to Las Vegas was to partake in their loose-liquor laws, legal gambling, as well as many other forms of debauchery-related activities. Which is totally fine. To each their own, as they say.

But all of those aspects, when combined, rarely end well for the tourist who chooses to overindulge. Hangovers, gambling regrets, and overall poor decision making goes hand-in-hand with trips to Las Vegas. Which is probably why there is so much truth to the adage of people saying the plane ride to Vegas is full of smiling faces – and the planes that are leaving Vegas are routinely full of saddened, sickened, depressed souls.

But that doesn’t always need to be the case. To be fair, for the majority of visitors who know how to handle themselves when offered up an abundance of temptations, they don’t have any of those negative aspects. In fact, they have a grand ol’ time – as Las Vegas intended. I am in no way saying that Vegas is a guaranteed bummer by the time you leave. Quite the opposite, actually.  And the chances of walking away with an enjoyable, positive experience is now higher than ever with the legalization of marijuana.

Yes, that pun was absolutely intended.

In fact, many folks who currently live in states that have continued to drag their feet on cannabis legalization, see a trip to Las Vegas as an ideal opportunity to see what this whole “marijuana craze” is all about. And why not? If they currently can’t legally partake in this harmless plant in their home state, why shouldn’t they take a little trip to this desert city to enjoy some bud? I know I certainly would.

While the onset of dispensaries and cannabis clubs in this area of the nation took a little bit of time to get up and running, there are now a plethora of marijuana-related options and activities tourists can enjoy during their trip to this unique vacation destination. But, with so many options, it can become difficult to discern which activity is actually best.
Which is why we have gone ahead and compiled a short list of the ultimate cannabis-related experiences that Las Vegas has to offer. They are far more advanced and intricately more fun than merely meandering into a dingy dispensary to buy a pre-roll or two. Trust me, these activities are phenomenal – and they can easily be enjoyed by any level of cannabis enthusiast.

The first one on this list of optimal marijuana activities that can be found in Vegas is from Cultivating Spirits. The best part about them is that they actually come to you! For those who haven’t been to Vegas yet, this is a crucial aspect of their business model. Many of those who are unaware of the surroundings, see Las Vegas as just a few short blocks that make up the iconic “Strip.” But, boy, can looks be deceiving.

While it may only seem like a quick jaunt from casino to casino, the length of the “Strip” is far longer than most new tourists ever could have anticipated. Sure, you can sip a little booze while you are walking, but the routinely hot weather and miles-long excursions always seem to shock and annoy newcomers. So, for this company to bring their services to your rental or AirBnB is fantastic.

Now, I am sure you are wondering what it is that Cultivating Spirits does. No, they don’t just drop off a bag of weed to you and your friends and say, “Have at it.” That would be pitiful. Instead, these amazing culinary geniuses venture over to your residence and prepare a wonderful THC-inspired meal.

While many would think they make infused food, they actually consider themselves experts in pairing top-shelf cannabis with gourmet meals. Their connoisseurs are amongst the best in the area, and their experience shines through in all of their incredible marijuana-inspired meals that they cook for you. Again, this isn’t in some stuffy restaurant – it is at your place! So, if there are any newbies to the world of marijuana, they can feel at ease and more than comfortable to let their hair down while enjoying some high quality bud along with their 5-star meal.

I don’t know about you, but a night full of amazing food and top-shelf marijuana sounds like an ideal way to wind down after a long day in the desert sun. It is why Cultivating Spirits is one of those “can’t miss” weed-activities that everyone visiting (or living in) Vegas should enjoy – at least once. Their prices vary on the size of the party, obviously – but they are famous for providing an amazing experience at an affordable price. So you really can’t go wrong.

For those tourists looking to educate themselves about the intricacies of marijuana, and the cannabis industry, as a whole, I would suggest they hit up Herbology 101 Tours for all of their THC-education needs. This phenomenal, well-reviewed tour company wants their customers to get the most out of their cannabis-infused experience when they visit Las Vegas.

Which is why they drive these folks around town, stopping in at various grow houses and dispensaries along the way. Their expert guides teach patrons about the in’s and out’s of the business – and marijuana, in general. Not only that, but they are more than happy to answer any and all questions that curious cannabis enthusiasts may have. This tour costs $129 and lasts roughly 4 hours or so. Which, in my personal opinion, is a perfect amount of time to learn a ton about cannabis, without it taking up your entire day.

Lastly, for those who want to enjoy the traditional elements of Vegas, in addition to partaking in some marijuana-related activities, I would suggest hopping on the Brews & Buds Tour, also offered up from Herbology.

This version of their popular tour boasts about how it will take visitors not only to a top-notch dispensary in the area, but also a high-quality brewery as well. That way, eager tourists can scratch both of their inebriation itches with an amazing 4-hour tour of awesomeness. They brag that it is the “first of its kind” in Las Vegas – but judging by its quick rise in popularity, I am confident that even more of these tours will start popping up more and more.

Regardless of the cannabis-activity chosen, Las Vegas has quickly proven to be a hotspot for stoners, of all experience levels. And I am already excited to check out even more cannabis tours and events that they offer in the very near future.
