Two Roots Tropical Infamy (Wheat)
Tropical Infamy is a non-alcoholic wheat inspired cannabeer made by the Two Roots Brewing Co.
This Bavarian bohemian is a wheat Hefeweizen with a tropical twist of American hops. The product is 10 fl. oz. and contains 4.33 mg of THC. According to the Two Roots website, edibles can often contain a random distribution of THC, Two Roots technology delivers a consistent dose of THC in every can. The nanoemulsion technology means it’s evenly distributed. What is nanoemulsion technology? Nanoemulsion breaks down the CBD and THC into extremely small particles making it more readily absorbed by the body—significantly speeding up the onset of effects. Their whole modus operandi is to “banish the sloppy buzz.” Boosted with electrolytes and B-vitamins for maximum hydration eradicating any chance of a hangover.

Appearance 3/5
The can looks very modern with a sharp, simple, yet sleek design. It is almost a minimalistic approach to design. Upon pouring the contents, it poured nicely and developed a nice frothy head as most Hefeweizens do. After it settled the carbonation bubbles diseased and it resembled a glass of smooth and smoky whiskey that was slightly opaque.

Aroma 4/5
It smells just like most full-bodied Hefeweizens. There is no cannabis or THC scent one can detect, at least not to the writer’s sense of smell.

Taste 2/5
While I don’t mind the taste of most of the Two Roots Cannabiers, I can never find myself drinking more than one. This specific beer leaves a pretty heavy aftertaste that lingers on the back of your tongue for quite some time. It is also a little more bitter than most Hefeweizens of my liking as well. What is interesting, is the tropical flavor that is introduced after you drink it.

Effect 3/5
If the user has a high tolerance, they may not even feel the effects of this product as someone with a low tolerance would. The onset is fairly subtle and according to the Two Roots website, “It doesn’t matter how much you partake. With just one serving or several, the infused THC takes effect in minutes and dissipates within 90 minutes of the last swallow. So you can be a class act all night.”

I see this as a great beginner product. Someone that just wants to try a cannabis product — maybe even for the first time — but is maybe a bit hesitant and doesn’t know where to start. I think this is a great product for someone looking for a beer alternative, or for someone that is looking to avoid alcohol and quit drinking altogether. I would also recommend this product to anyone that doesn’t like to smoke.

It’s hard for me to say that I would sit down and have several of these. I can definitely enjoy one every now and then. If I’m watching the game and knocking back some beers with the guys, this probably isn’t the first thing I would go for. However, if someone just wants to take it easy and sip on something, then this may be the perfect product. Overall, I would give Two Roots Tropical Infamy three out of five stars.

Las Vegas ReLeaf Dispensary is located on the corner of Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard just off the north end of The Strip. Nestled neatly beneath the Stratosphere, or The Strat as the kids are calling it these days, it is in a location that is easily accessible to both locals and tourists alike. The most enjoyable thing about visiting Las Vegas ReLeaf is the minimal wait time and efficient customer service flow. The layout operates in a counterclockwise fashion for a smooth flow of traffic and efficient service from the budtenders. By its location, ReLeaf naturally attracts a lot of tourists. If one visits their website, does their research beforehand, and walks in knowing exactly what they want, the budtenders often seem impressed and possibly even thankful for making their jobs a lot easier.

This is my second run-in with Two Roots, and I’ve loved every single sip that I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying. They don’t let me down in the beer-esque flavor or looks, and they excel in making me feel happy and relaxed. There’s really nothing but GREAT things to say about this item, that’s for sure. I LOVE THIS DRINK!

Depends on Your Tolerance

To be frank, it all depends on your tolerance. But, that said, this drink is pretty mild, and designed to be enjoyed by even the most novice cannabis enthusiast. Plus, it seems like you’ve had this pre-dinner smoke routine for some time now, which leads me to believe that your body has acclimated itself to a standard dose of THC on a daily basis. If that’s the case, the addition of a little more in beverage form really won’t hurt. In fact, I’d go so far as to suggest you give it a shot, but only take a few sips at a time, and go from there.

“too high” moments

I saw that the reviewer claimed this infused, non-alcoholic hoppy beverage smelled and tasted similar to a classic Hefeweizen. Personally, that’s my favorite beer. Routinely, I smoke a joint before dinner, and have a cold brew with my meal. Do you think – and hear me out – do you think it’d be a good idea to smoke a joint, and eat dinner, but have THIS as my drink, instead of a standard beer? Or, would that be too strange to do? I don’t want to do anything that may lead to any “too high” moments.

Incredible product

Happy to see this is non-alcoholic. Don’t get me wrong, beer is great, but when it comes to mellowing out, nothing beats a nice cannabis-infused series of effects. Which, not for nothing, is exactly what you can expect from this incredible product.
