Appearance 3/5
Ground up, Curious George #7 is a grassy green color with brown specks like eyes peeping out of a grass field. The trichomes may be visible on the whole nugs, but their silvery essence is lost when the weed is pulverized. If you’re a sucker for pretty cannabis, you might long for a softer, lighter shade of green. The actual color is bland, predictable.

Aroma 3/5
You can almost smell the Banana Kush heritage if you scrunch up your nose. None of the scents wafting up from the weed are very potent. Together, an average smell is produced. I’ve smelled pot with less depth, and I’ve smelled pot that was far more enticing.

Taste 4/5
Knowing the strains it was bred from, you might expect a tangy, fruity flavor. You’d be wrong. Curious George #7 tastes like sucking a blade of wet grass that’s been dipped in mud and gasoline. The diesel flavor is the only discernable sweet note. The Banan Kush influence, noticeable in the aroma, disappears entirely.

Effect 3/5
The sativa effects are the most noticeable. I felt a slight energy rush, but it wasn’t enough to affect my plans. With the right strain, I almost feel compelled to get up and do something. That didn’t happen here. It’s as though the sativa and indica qualities canceled each other out.

Curious George’s mild effect might appeal to medical patients. Finding a strain that you smoke all day without being completely incapacitated is tough. For some patients, Curious George #7 could be the answer.

Curious George #7 by Greenway Medical has a memorable name. The strain itself, however, is pretty bland. I barely remember enough about the experience to create this review. It’s one of those strains that I grew bored with while I was still smoking it. I’d be mid-puff and still thinking “man I wish I had some good weed.”

Life is too short to waste on mediocre weed.

PURE HOMERUN

Pre-rolls can often be “hit or miss” but this one is a PURE HOMERUN. Everything about this joint, from taste, to looks, to flavor, to high…it was unbeatable in every regard, and I’ll most certainly be keeping an eye out for this storybook strain again.

In all honesty

In all honesty, the coloring of various strains don’t really play a factor into their potency. That said, however, a bud’s dryness or crisp nature could mean the bud has been left alone in the open elements for a far too long, resulting in a less potent, somewhat stale experience. Which is never ideal for obvious reasons. But all bud’s are different, and create their own taste, fragrance, and color scheme – so there’s no reason to discriminate against one bud or the other when it comes to coloring. It all comes down to freshness at the end of the day. The fresher the bud, the better off you’ll be.

Does Color matter?

Normally, when I break open my pre-rolls, I see a bunch of dry, crispy, often bright green buds. Which is fine, but when I cracked open THIS one, I was happy to see such a deep, rich green color. It was proven to be indicative of the potency, at least for this case it was. Which is where my question comes in: Does dark bud like this ALWAYS mean it’s going to be dank? Or does color not really matter in this instance?

I TOTALLY get why they call this strain Curious George, because it had me uplifted, energized, and ready to explore all sorts of random things. I can’t get enough of this strain to be honest. I wish I bought MORE!
