There’s a lot of infused chocolate on the market. Even newbie stoners know that weed and chocolate go well together. Weed, on its own, tastes harsh. Mixed with chocolate, that gritty plant flavor is mellowed. Well, in theory at least. Everyone who has made their own edibles knows that creating the right flavor profile is an art.

OMG THC gets it right. They sell single-bite chocolates as well as full bars. Their chocolate is infused with CO2 oil rather than butane hash oil, which helps provide a purer taste. You can pick up a single bite for about $5.

Appearance 5/5
It’s chocolate. What do you expect it to look like? There’s nothing special about the chocolate bite’s appearance. It’s a regular piece of chocolate with a THC symbol stamped on it. If you like sweets, it’s perfect.

Now, if you’re going to buy it during the sweltering summer months, eat it immediately. Don’t expect it to be okay in your bag all day. It will melt and become a gooey mess.

Aroma 5/5
I couldn’t smell the THC. And I didn’t want to. I’d rather indulge in the sweet chocolate scent.

Taste 5/5
It’s delicious, like a Hershey bar tinged with a faint weed flavor. The grassy notes are undercut by the milkiness of the chocolate. It tastes like an infused edible- in a GOOD way. There’s just enough flavor to remind you that you’re not eating a grocery store candy. If the cannabis taste was any stronger, it would be overwhelming.

Effect 3/5
The effect is mild. Like most recreational edibles, it’s infused with 10mg/g of THC per serving. In this case, that’s the entire bite. How quickly the THC hits your system, and how strongly it affects you, depends entirely on your unique body. Your weight, when you had your last meal, etc., all play a role.

People are picky about edibles. If you don’t like how something tastes, you’re probably not going to enjoy eating it, no matter how much THC or CBD it’s infused with. One of the perks of OMG THC’s chocolate is that you can buy a single piece. If you’re not sure how you feel about edibles, or if you’ve never tried any before, the single-bite piece is a perfect way to gauge your feelings. Buy it, see how you feel, and come back for more if you like it. The Grove is always open.

I should have bought a bigger piece. Why did I think that a single bite of chocolate would be enough? I need at least two to be satisfied. Maybe three. They’re that good. Don’t think about calories. You’re eating weed chocolate! You can go keto tomorrow.

You can hit up The Grove 24-hours a day. It’s surrounded by bars and local restaurants. An Uber from the Strip is less than $20 if you go at the right time. You can barhop like you’re at the casino for a fraction of the cost. Stop by The Grove before you start partying. Your future hungover self will appreciate it.

The biggest problem at the dispensary is how slow everyone is. You always get the sense that there was an employee smoke break five minutes ago. Expect a long, tedious wait in the lobby before you can move into the main dispensary. There, you’re shepherded around by your budtender. If you like to roam around by yourself, this isn’t the spot for you.

One of the reasons why everything at The Grove takes so long is because the budtenders spend so much time with each customer. No one is ever rushed. Have a question about a product’s THC content? Feel free to ask your budtender. At The Grove, they’re very knowledgable.

You are not alone

You are not alone in wanting your edibles to taste like how their non-infused inspirations are known for tasting. Hell, I agree with you on that. But, to be honest, there’s no real blanket statement, or “hard-and-fast” rule about edibles removing any lingering cannabis taste. Each recipe is super different, and the care and attention to detail varies greatly from company to company. But, when you hear about a particular product being famous for taste and flavor, you should jot it down, and look for it during your next shopping trip. And this one seems to be one to look out for the next time you’re at the dispensary.

Would be a tremendous help?!

So, when I buy a chocolate edible of this nature, can I expect it to taste like a typical piece of candy? Or will there be an abundance of “floral flavoring” that I’ll have to suffer through? I’m a bit of a picky eater when it comes to that kind of stuff, so any insight on this issue would be a tremendous help
