What are the best parts about trail mix? Well, if you’re anything like me, you probably just said “Chocolate and Oats.” Which, I’m sure, is what most people would’ve said. And, to be fair, there’s not much else in a standard bag of trail mix, so it makes that decision pretty easy. But, I digress, I brought up that question to make a point. And that point is that these No-Bake Chocolate Cannabis Oat Bars take everything you know and love about trail mix, and combines them together to create this handheld piece of hike-friendly awesomeness.

Instructions
- For starters, you’ll want to expertly grease your square pan.
- Once you’ve accomplished that quick preliminary step, you will need to grab a big saucepan and place it over “Medium” heat.
- In this saucepan, you’ll need to fully melt your cannabis-infused butter.
- When that’s melted, you can stir in your vanilla extract and brown sugar. Follow that up, by mixing in your delicious oats.
- Then, when those ingredients are fully incorporated with one another, you can continue to cook everything for 2-3 minutes.
- Following that quick-cooking period, you can then distribute roughly half of that mixture into the bottom of your previously-greased pan. And, be sure to gently press down on this bottom layer. For the moment, just keep the other half of this mixture to the side for the time being, as it will come into play in just a bit.
- Then, you’ll need to melt your peanut butter and chocolate chips together in a big saucepan placed over “Low” heat. Don’t forget to stir up the contents frequently during this step.
- Upon completing that, you’ll want to pour that chocolate mixture atop the crust that is currently resting in the pan. Take your time to evenly spread out this delicious layer with the back of a spoon.
- Next, you’ll crumble the last half of your infused oat mixture over the chocolate, again, pressing down ever so gently on the contents.
- At this point, you’ll want to cover the whole thing and toss it in the fridge for 3 hours, at the very least. But, if you have the time, you should aim to leave it there overnight.
- Then, when it’s time, you can remove it from the fridge, and let it return to room temperature before cutting them into similarly-sized bars. And, boom, that’s it!
