Sweet Kiwi 5:1 Gummies

I always do my research before I go in to purchase a product. Having had a recent knee surgery, I have been investigating various products containing different levels and ratios of CBD. There are several common ratios on the market, and 5:1 is not one of them, so this quickly caught my attention. I had also never heard of Altus. My girlfriend uses WYLD 2:1 gummies for her chronic back pain. Those 2:1 gummies have 10mg CBD and 5mg of THC per gummy. These 5:1 Sweet Kiwi Gummies from Altus have 25mg CBD and 5mg THC per gummy. With my pain not being as chronic or intense, a 5:1 ratio with higher CBD should offset the effects of the THC.

Appearance 3/5
The packaging on the product looks professional. It is very obvious and clear this is intended for medicinal use and not to be confused with candy of any kind. The packaging looks like something one would see in a doctor’s office, perhaps containing sterile objects of some type. The gummies are a less than appealing dark green. They are the color of spinach and look exactly like the green drinks from Naked.

Aroma 4/5
The aroma is sweet and pleasant. It is pretty close to kiwi, or at least kiwi flavored candy that is. There is also a hint of green apple. Again, they smell a lot like the green superfood drinks from Naked.

Taste 3/5
Taste is not an easy thing when it comes to edibles. It is an art form trying to balance that pungent and so very distinct THC flavor with whatever flavor edible the company is attempting to create. The smell is better than the taste, but the taste isn’t bad by any means. Kiwi is one of my favorite fruits, so I think I just had high hopes.

Effect 4/5
I was pretty surprised by the intensity of this product. CBD is known to counteract some of the effects of THC. I figured at a 5:1 ratio this would be pretty mellow. It took about an hour before I began to feel the effects. From there, it was a steady build. Personally, I thought these were stronger than some 2:1 gummies that I have tried in the past. The head high sets in first as the body high creeps and just continues to creep until one is placed into a completely relaxed state.

Experimenting with different ratios is key to discovering what works best for each individual. Everyone is different, and different ratios will affect people differently. This product would be great for anyone that wants to get rid their aches and pains or just wants to put their muscles to rest after a long day. This product is great for evening time use, as using it during the day may create drowsiness and a lack of production.

If smaller neighborhood-style dispensaries are preferred, Sahara Wellness is the perfect place. The service is quick, personal, and efficient. There are no lines, and they are even open 24 hours. Places without lines or anyone present, should usually indicate something. Something about this place just feels off. Maybe the budtender freely discussing illegal operations that he was part of in the past in California had something to do with that. Just friendly conversation or not, that is an interesting approach to making customers feel comfortable within a place of business.

While small, they have a good selection for their size. Many of the products are from lesser known brands, which is also an interesting aspect of this place. If you have any experience with Sahara Wellness, please leave a comment below and let us know your thoughts. We are interested to hear about your experience and what you think.

Address:
420 E Sahara Ave
Las Vegas, NV 89104
Phone Number: (702) 478-5533
Hours: Open 24 Hours

Sahara Wellness is open 24 hours, which is somewhat surprising considering its size and location. This small neighborhood dispensary can be easily missed unless one knows where to find it. The large silver numbers and letters on the face of the building put the address out there for all to see. 420 Sahara is indeed the actual address of this establishment. This small establishment has a small staff. The receptionist will most likely be the budtender as well as the cashier. Security guard sold separately.

If you are a fan of noticeably “weedy” flavor profiles, this is the gummy for you. But, for those reading this, who aren’t fans of such a taste, these are ALSO for you, as I feel they perfectly toe the line of noticeable and accented flavors, both with the kiwi aspects and the floral components of the cannabis used in the recipe. Regardless of your palate, these gummies are famous for their reliable strength and series of calming effects, which is why they are routinely touted as some of the best edibles on the market today. So, long answer LONGER, yes, you should certainly buy these THC treats, because I think they’ll be right up your alley. Happy eating, my fellow cannabis enthusiasts!

I’m not entirely sure how Altus did it, but their gummies remained intact and unstuck from one another throughout the course of my consumption. Typically, when I buy gummies of this nature, which I do quite often, I have to struggle to rip them apart upon opening the package. That makes the calculating of an actual dose much more of a chore, but with these babies, dosing and eating is a delicious breeze, and I’m already planning on picking up more the next time I visit my cannabis club, and I strongly suggest you all do the same, as well.

Any thoughts?

I understand I may be in the minority here, but as a fairly new member of the cannabis community, I tend to prefer edibles that HIGHLIGHT instead of HIDE of the cannabis flavor of the plant they used to make it. Does that make sense? In short, I am always happier with edibles that remind me of that familiar floral taste, and I feel that those tend to make me feel higher? Is that even a thing? Anyway, long story LONGER, I am wondering if I can expect to experience such a cannabis-forward flavor with these gummies, even though many people are singing the praises of its sweet kiwi character. Any thoughts?

Why is Kiwi such an under-utilized flavor?! These gummies taste better than the average product that I am used to, and I genuinely think it has EVERYTHING to do with this award-winning choice of tropical flavors. These puppies are sweet and make me feel SO happy – in more ways than one. Wish I bought more when I had the chance. Oh well – lesson learned, I suppose.
