Instructions

  • Place cannabis butter in a large saucepan. Place over low heat and melt, making sure you don’t burn the butter.
  • Add marshmallows and stir until everything is mixed together.
  • Continue cooking for two minutes, stirring the entire time. Remove from heat.
  • Add rice krispies and stir until mixture is well combined.
  • Butter the 9” x 13” casserole dish. Press the Rice Crispy mixture into the dish. Coating your hands with butter or oil can help prevent the mixture from sticking to your hands.
  • Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Yes you can substitute coconut oil for the butter but it will change the taste. I generally try and consume my edibles with in 30 days of making. You can put them in the refrigerator for storage then just let them come to room temperature before eating for full flavor.

    1. For this, and any other recipe, you should remember to ease into portion control. So, for this particular recipe, aim to make each portion about 1in x 1in. That may seem small, but you should start there, and allow the THC 90 minutes to take effect, then you can decide if you want more. It’s always best to eat not enough instead of too much.

  1. If I have 2 sticks of butter for the cannabutter would I use only one stick of it to be 1/2 cup or the whole 2 sticks of butter? Also how many rice krispies squares did you achieve with this recipe? Sorry for asking a lot of questions. I just want to make sure that whenever I get the chance to do it; that I do it correctly.

    1. I use 1 stick In this recipe. How many squares depends on what you want the dose of each to be and what your thc content on your flower is. Check out our dosing calculator on this page. It’s simple to figure out the dose. I would suggest a 10-15mg dose per treat to start if you are new to edibles! And wait at least 2 hours before re dosing. Enjoy!!

  2. I only use coconut oil. And I have had a great responses. I use a silicone mold with 1”x1”x1/4” square. I add nerds to the mixture. People love them.

Okay I’m making rice krispie treats with cannabis. Since I always mate gummies with coconut oil and 1/2 a cup of water, I wasn’t thinking and I added a half cup of water to my butter that I was making for my rice krispie treats!! What can I do? Will the water hurt? can I still use the butter I’m making with the water? I’m making it the same way I would if I had not added the water. Can you please help me out with this. I hate to waste all the money I spent the cannabis to make the butter.
