Fish, anyone? I know I’m up for a quality fish dish, that’s for sure. I feel like I don’t make enough seafood-centric meals at home, to be completely honest. Not sure why, either. Maybe they seem too intimidating to tackle. Which, for the most part, can be true. But when it comes to this recipe for THC Poached Tuna, the opposite tends to be the case. It’s easy, tasty, and only requires a bit of patience in order to pull it off like a pro.

Instructions
- Before you do anything, you’re going to want that tuna of yours to rest at room temperature for at least 10 minutes.
- Following that, you’ll need to grab a large skillet. In it, mix together your red pepper flakes, thyme, and garlic. After that, pour in your cannabis-infused olive oil. Keep pouring it until about an inch worth of oil is in the skillet.
- Heat up those contents on “Medium.” Keep that going until the thyme and garlic begin to visibly sizzle. In my experience, that usually happens between the 7-10 minute mark.
- At this point, you’ll want to carefully place the tuna inside of the hot oil, and as you do, knock down the setting to “Low” heat.
- Cook those delicious tuna steaks in the hot oil for 5-7 minutes, and don’t forget to keep basting the steaks with spoonfuls of infused oil throughout the process. When the fish is piping hot and white, you’ll know you can remove it from the heat, and transfer them onto a baking dish.
- While in a baking dish, you can proceed to pour that infused oil and herbs over each piece of fish. Then, simply let the fish sit in that infused oil until it gets back down to room temperature.
- Following that, wrap the entire dish in some cellophane, before tossing it in the fridge for an entire day. Yup, one whole day, people.
- When that day has come and gone, remove the fish from the fridge (and from the subsequent oil that it’s been resting in), and place it atop a plate. Season it with your desired amount of sea salt, and that’s it, you’re ready to eat!
Notes
Now, while it goes without saying, this recipe is pretty dang potent. So, don’t feel like you need (or should) finish off the entire tuna in one sitting. In fact, I’d go so far as to suggest that you only take a few nibbles to start off with, then you can see how you feel in an hour or so.
If you’re happy with how you’re feeling at that time, by all means, keep the good times going and just mellow out on the tuna for now. However, if you are in the mood for an uptick in effects, grab another small portion and go from there.
