Top 10 Places To Eat In Las Vegas...While Stoned
Contributor: KC Scannell
Las Vegas is home to a plethora of good times. Most of which are often forgotten by tourists who spend their time killing brain cells, via yard-long daiquiris and regretful decisions. While the army of casinos and attractions are an absolute blast, very few people (especially visitors) realize just how much of a “Food Mecca” Las Vegas actually is.
No matter where you find yourself staying along the strip, chances are you are only a stone’s throw away from a top-notch eatery. Some of which (if not the majority) are run by some of the most culinarily gifted individuals on the face of the planet. While the mountain of options may be too difficult to choose from, allow me to share my personal breakdown of some of the best places to grab a bite in Vegas…especially while high.
Stone Appetit, my fellow enthusiasts.
10. Bacchanal Buffet
The only reason this world-class buffet is finding itself at the bottom of this illustrious list is due to its exorbitant price. Yes, Las Vegas is full of expensive eating options, but none come close to the deep level of options and high-class selection that this amazing buffet has to offer its patrons. Feel free to indulge in, literally, every and any kind of food your little stoner mind can think of. This place is routinely packed with hungry tourists and locals, but if you luck out, you can freely cruise through their wide selection during a weekday, sans crowds. Even then, there are likely to be a fair amount of starving folks filling up plates (and heading back for seconds).

9. Crack Shack
I don’t know about you, but whenever I visit Las Vegas, no matter how responsible I may feel like I am being, I regularly wake up with a killer hangover. As many of my fellow marijuana enthusiasts already know, nothing kills those morning booze-related aches and pains like a solid smoke session. With a quality “wake and bake” comes a heaping helping of the munchies. Which, more often than not, kick in around brunch time. While there are a plethora of different eateries to hit up around this time of the day in good ol’ Las Vegas, none can compare to the Crack Shack. If you are a fan of “putting an egg on it” when it comes to your morning meals, this place has got you covered (with yolk). It is a phenomenal restaurant that I look forward to visiting every single time I am in town – especially after hitting some quality cannabis – that is for sure.

8. Ambra Italian Kitchen + Bar
Located in the depths of the world-famous MGM Grand Casino and Hotel rests this little Italian eatery. The doors to this top-notch ristorante don’t open to the public until 5pm, but to be fair, that’s when noodles taste the best, in my personal opinion. Plus, that gives you (and your stoner buddies) plenty of time to fire up some dank at a local dispensary, grab a couple drinks to wet your appetites, and then you can head on over to this beautifully decorated, well-staffed restaurant for your choice of any and all things Italian.

7. Harvest by Roy Ellamar
This is one of the Bellagio’s shining stars, as far as restaurants are concerned. When I say that this establishment is the epitome of freshness – I genuinely mean it. The freshest, most nutrient-rich vegetables on the entire Strip can be found at this humble eatery. Not only that, but the renowned chef has made sure to have his meats shipped in from only the most respected farms and ranches across the nation. In addition to that, their extensive selection of beers and drinks will have you feeling full and happy by the time you choose to leave – if you ever do! Needless to say, you will need a good joint after this hearty meal, no doubt about it.

6. Twist by Pierre Gagnaire
Many would consider the Waldorf Astoria one of the upper echelon locations in all of Vegas. With restaurants like Twist by Pierre Gagnaire located within its hallowed hallways, there is really no arguing against that point. This French-American fusion restaurant is in a league of its own, and it would be a crime to show up to this location without an empty stomach and healthy appetite. What can help you ensure such a state of mind (and hunger)? Why, marijuana, of course! So, be sure to fire up a joint (or two) before heading over to this world-class establishment. You will be extremely happy you did – trust me.

5. Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen
While this TV-Show inspired restaurant is part of Caesar’s Palace (technically), one doesn’t even have to enter the larger building to enjoy it, as it is its own free-standing location placed mere steps from the Strip, itself. Fans of the multi-season reality show of the same name will simply trip out from the moment they entire this incredible establishment. The open kitchen is there for diners to view, just like in the show. Sure, Gordon, himself, may only be there on a large television screen greeting every customer, but past winners of the show have been known to run the actual kitchen staff at this Las Vegas location. So, stoners (like myself) can feel like they are a part of the beloved show, all while enjoying a top-notch meal that would be approved by the foul mouth chef, himself. It truly is an experience like no other.

4. é by Jose Andres
Sometimes when you are stoned, you are not quite sure what you want to eat. Nothing is worse than ordering a meal (slightly high), only for it to arrive at your table minutes later and it doesn’t hit the palette as you had hoped. Luckily, at é by Jose Andres located in The Cosmopolitan, you can have your fair share of expertly-prepared dishes, as the whole theme of this place is that it is an upscale tasting bar. However, be forewarned that it is a bit on the exclusive (and expensive) side of things – but if you are fortunate enough to grab yourself a reservation – be sure to get good and stoned beforehand – because this restaurant is going to deliver a series of scrumptious dishes that your tastebuds will thank you for.

3. Sixth + Mill
When one even hears the word “Venetian” they think authentic Italian. At least, I do. That is exactly what one can expect when they visit this pizzar bar located in the Venetian in Las Vegas. Wanting to give their customers the most “authentic” experience possible, the designers of this restaurant achieved an outdoor vibe that pairs perfectly with their artisan pizzas. So much so that your stoned mind may trick you into thinking you just stepped off a gondola ride to grab a slice. This place is fantastic, and I truly can’t recommend it highly enough – especially to all you stoned pizza snobs out there. It truly is unbeatable.

2. Yardbird Southern Table and Bar
Personally, fried chicken can do no wrong in my eyes (or stomach). It is one of the most reliable items on the market – always has been and always will be. But, often, it can be lacking in execution. However, when you come across a place that truly does chicken right – you never forget it. Such is the case with Yardbird Southern Table and Bar. The cocktails, the chicken, the sides…everything about this place is tremendous. It is the perfect restaurant to visit when those “munchies” kick in after a long day of roaming the Strip.

1. Top of the World
When you go to Las Vegas, you want to do it “Big” – for lack of a better term. You want to experience all this great city has to offer. Without a doubt, eating a top-shelf meal at Top of the World is a great way to achieve just that. Not only are the dishes mind-blowingly delectable, but the view one gets to enjoy while in this rotating restaurant is unreal. 106 floors above the Earth, you can enjoy fine dining and breathtaking landscapes. To be completely honest, it is tailor-made for the “stoner foodie” with an adventurous spirit. It is a “can’t-miss” in my opinion. Which is why it has landed itself atop this list.
