Durban Cookies was an easy choice for me because of my experience with its legendary lineage of Durban Poison and Girl Scout Cookies. The African city of Durban is the origin of Durban Poison and lends its name to the potent sativa strain with strong energizing effects. I’ve been told that Durban Poison may cause one to hallucinate, but I did not have that type of psychedelic experience in my smoke sessions.

On the other hand, Girl Scout Cookies is a hybrid cannabis strain that delivers heavy indica effects. Girl Scout Cookies always deliver a strong physical effect that leaves me in chill mode. Moreover, Girl Scout Cookies, has been recognized by the Cannabis Cup on multiple occasions. Durban Cookies is promising a full-body effect that stimulates the mind and treats my tongue to some spicy, earthy, and cookie flavors.

Appearance 4/5
The flower inside of the preroll displays a lime green. The calyx of Durban Cookies remind me of a dark forest green, but the scarce chopped pistils are chocolate brown.
That my Durban Poison preroll was crafted by human hands is evident to me by the fashion in which the joint seals the weed with a tight twist. The translucent brown paper of the joint may be hemp and allows some visibility to the lively green flower.
The paper filter on the end of the doobie is folded up into squigglies to allow easy inhalation without ingesting particles of cannabis.

Aroma 4.5/5
Durban Cookies must be a premier dank strain! I arrived at this conclusion because I can detect its sour aroma before the joint is extracted from its capsule and lit.
The dominant citrus aroma that wafts from the preroll exudes hints of sour fruits such as lemon and lime.
When I roll the joint above my top lip, I recognized sharp pine scents and woody forest smells. Lastly, there is the faint scent of fried pastries.

Taste 4/5
My first impressions of BlueBirds Durban Cookies’ taste are pine, peppery, and dry tones. Early on in the smoke, the bitter flavors develop but are paired with other indescribable flavors.
In addition, there is the sparse taste of mint. I can tell it’s high quality overall because the taste is bitter and similar to gas.
I shared this Durban Cookies smoke session with my smoking buddies, and according to them, it tastes like a hybrid and is definitely sour, not fruity.

Effect 5/5
Whoa! I feel a mental uplift from Durban Cookies on the first hit of my preroll. My focus sharply increased, and my creative juices start flowing.
As the high develops, I feel more peaceful energy enter my being and euphoria builds.
My eyelids droop, and I feel a bit more relaxed as I settle in my chair. There is even a slight tingly sensation.
Durban Poison increases my brain activity immensely, and the calming effects are mild but undeniable.

Product price: $10.00

Bluebird’s Durban Cookies preroll is not an ideal product for low tolerance consumers or beginner smokers. Durban Cookies’ high amount of THC may create a drastic change in one’s mental state that causes the mind to think critically and operate rapidly. This product may benefit lethargic and unmotivated cannabis consumers by providing happiness, energy, and increased focus.

Durban Cookies produced by BlueBirds is exactly what I anticipated form the spectacular cross of super sativa Durban Poison and the flavorful chill hybrid known as Girl Scout Cookies. The flavor is something like sour cinnamon cookies, and the high left me feeling inspired and wired. This weed is definitely deserving of the adjective dank because the preroll was only 0.6 grams, and it got me and my other two partners in smoke hella faded.

Most hump days are Weed Wednesdays for me. Last I began navigating to the closest dispensary near my Downtown Las Vegas stomping grounds, MedMen Downtown in The Arts District. The perpetual construction of Las Vegas has reached this particular block of 3rd Street between Hoover and 3rd Street. As a result, 3rd street had temporarily become a one-way street. This detour delayed my commute a few extra moments, but thankfully there was free parking available on Hoover. Finally, I surpassed the construction obstacles and was able to place my finger on the buzzer on the front door of MedMen. After I was allowed to enter, I was requested to display my driver’s license for identification. Once the receptionist checked me in, then she informed me of my $5.00 available in loyalty credits.

I opened the door leading to the retail space on the left to reveal Thomas, a capable budtender. Before I was fully engaged with Thomas, I noticed another security guard present with about six budtenders on duty, and eight other customers in the lobby. Thomas asked me if I could help me find what I was looking for on my visit. I told him I was looking for some flower and prerolls. My first request was for Candy Queen produced by NLVO. On my last visit to MedMen, I was heartbroken to learn the location was out of stock of this particular product. Before arriving, I researched the website and noticed Candy Queen was in stock. So I was bewildered when Thomas told me that grams of Candy Queen were unavailable, and the strain was exclusive to eights on that day. I slid over the preroll menu displayed on an LCD screen to pursue another option in disappointment. I took his recommendation for Durban Cookies because of its dank lineage and affordable costs of $10.00.
