I picked up Sweet Apple Cobbler Crumble by Roar on a bustling Friday evening. It was extract day, so I only had to pay $25 for a full gram. It’s usually $39 for the same amount. Buying a full gram is more satisfying because you don’t have a lot of material to work with.

Appearance 4/5
Don’t look for nutty brown, cobbler tones because you won’t find them. The crumble is pure buttery yellow. It looks like something you can smear on a piece of toast, to be honest. It’s a surprising amount; concentrates often look pretty meager.

Aroma 4/5
Sweet Apple Cobbler crumble is one of the few concentrates that has a distinct aroma before you start smoking. Each crumbly bit smells like garden weeds, cannabis, and ripe apples. It’s the type of smell that could make you fall in love with cannabis.

Taste 3/5
The smell is more pronounced than the flavor. Surprisingly, none of the fruity notes are expressed in the taste. The smoke tastes faintly of weed, but nothing else.

Effect 4/5
Sweet Apple Cobbler crumble has a typical terpene profile. Myrcene, limonene, and pinene are all among the most common terpenes in this product. I expected deep, total-body relaxation, and that’s exactly what I got. It’s the same feeling that you might get if you checked into a luxury spa for a day. Stress oozes out of your body like sweat, relaxing your muscles, and making your head feel light and droopy.

Product price: $39 for 1g

Are you a tourist? If so, this might be why you’ve come to Vegas. You can get wasted in Nowhere, USA, sure. But you can’t, however, pick up dank crumble anywhere. If you live in a place without legal cannabis, for instance, I wish you luck getting your hands on high-quality concentrates from your neighborhood “dealer.”

So, while 83% THC is a hefty amount for new smokers, this could be your only chance to try it. Go big or go home, right?

Sweet Apple Cobbler Crumble by Roar is more appealing than a real slice of pie. You get all of the flavor, without any of the calories. Getting stoned usually triggers the munchies, but concentrates are different. You can get so high that you forget to eat.

The Dispensary hovers on the edge between being a local and a tourists spot. It’s on the West Side of town, but within ten minutes of the Strip. On a dull night, you can get a cheap Uber from your hotel. The Dispensary’s deal structure also lures tourists. You don’t need to worry about building points. The juiciest deals are tied to how much money you spend, and what day it is.

Locals like The Dispensary because of its convenient location, cheap prices, and diverse menu. The set up is efficient. You show your ID to the security guard, and can immediately enter the retail floor space when your age is verified. There’s no room to roam. You stand in a zig-zagged line. Display cases are perched at different points. You can read the menu on TV screens mounted on the wall, or on printed menus.

The line gets clogged on the weekends, but it’s never terrible. All of the budtenders seem like they know what they’re doing, too.

When it’s your turn, you’ll tell your budtender what you want, and they’ll grab it before ringing you up. The inventory is stored in the same area, so they don’t have far to go. It’s a small feature, but it makes a difference. Dispensaries that store products far from the showroom have interminable waits.
