Everyone is so obsessed with chocolate nowadays. And, don’t get me wrong, I understand the appeal. It’s readily available, delicious, and pretty consistent in flavor. (Xanax) But, sometimes, I’m looking for a treat that’s a bit more on the healthy side of things. No, I’m not talking about biting into a head of lettuce when the munchies kick in, or anything like that. I’m talking about sweet delicacies that don’t overdo it with sugar. Like, my Cannabis-Infused Apple Crisp, for example.

First, you’ll need to get your hands on the following ingredients before proceeding onward with the recipe:

Cost: approx. $15

Instructions

  • For starters, you’re going to need to mix and toss your apples with your flour, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  • Following that, simply place those contents onto a previously-greased deep-dish pie plate that is also microwave safe. I’d say aim for a pie plate that’s roughly 9” in dimension.
  • Now, in another bowl, we’re going to create your topping. So, mix together your oats, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and cinnamon. And, when those are expertly blended together, start to cut in your butter, and keep that mixing going until the contents take on a crumbly complexion and texture.
  • After you’ve completed that step, and are happy with how your butter mixture looks, you can sprinkle your newly-created topping over the filling that is resting in the pie plate.
  • At this point, cover the whole thing in some parchment or wax paper, and microwave it on high, for about 6 minutes or so. You’ll know it’s ready to go when the apples are nice and tender.
  • When that happens, remove them from the microwave, and distribute this infused crisp to your friends, but don’t forget to add a few scoops of vanilla ice cream first.

Notes

And that is it, party people. That’s how you make a Cannabis-Infused Apple Crisp.

Now, with most homemade edibles of this nature, the precision of self-dosing can be a bit unpredictable. How “strong” the experience will be is dependent on a number of varying factors. Things like a person’s THC tolerance, their metabolism, height, weight, and even internal body chemistry can come into play – and every single person’s genetic makeup and metabolic reaction to ingested cannabis is different.

So, with that in mind, just remember to practice caution, and only take a couple small portions at a time, in order to get a feel for how the rest of the batch will hit you. Then, after about 90 minutes, you can reassess the situation, see how you feel, and go from there. It’s really simple.

Happy eating, my fellow cannabis enthusiasts!
