There is a lot to like about cannabis. It is calming, pain-relieving, inspiring, and boy, can it do a number on your hunger. I don’t know about you, but it doesn’t take much for a healthy case of the “munchies” to take over my tummy shortly after a smoke session. When that inevitable rumbling hits, I am ready to chow down on all sorts of grub. If I’m being honest with myself, it’s all about what mood I’m in.

If it is a “wake and bake” type scenario, I’m opting for some tasty tincture in my coffee, and perhaps some cannabis-infused butter smeared across my toast. That usually hits the spot. But, if it’s more of a “midday puff-and-pass” situation, I’m in a fast food state of mind. Give me a burger and some fries, and I’m one happy (high) guy, no doubt about it. Then, in the evening, when the entire day is coming to an end, that’s when my sweet tooth starts to kick in.
Anything that even attempts to be sugary sweet is in my “crosshairs” whenever I’m stoned at night. I can’t help it. My inner child comes out after a few tokes from the pipe, and I’m ready to eat any sweet treat I can get my hands on. While most candies often suffice as quality goodies, nothing beats chocolate. There is something delectably nostalgic about chocolate that makes it one of those unbeatable high-guy snacks.
I am always down to try new foods when I’m stoned, too. Especially if it has anything to do with my beloved cocoa-based delicacy. That’s when I stumbled across a recipe for some chocolate truffles.
Now, to be completely honest, I’ve always heard of truffles, but I have never had the pleasure of eating one. In fact, I don’t think I know too much about them, at all. All I know is they have chocolate in them somewhere, and they sound expensive. So, why not try to save some money and make a batch for myself at home?
Since I’m such an avid cannabis enthusiast, I’m not just going to whip up a group of chocolate truffles to enjoy as a post-smoke snack. No, I’m going to fire up a potent batch of these babies, so they can get me even higher after my session. I mean, that sounds pretty fun, if you ask me.
So, without any further ado, let’s get to these Chocolate Canna Truffles, shall we?
Not so fast, my young cannabis chef. Before you saunter off into that kitchen, we need to make sure you have all the necessary ingredients on hand, in order to make these Chocolate Canna Truffles.

Instructions

  • First things first: grab that chocolate of yours, along with your most badass knife, and get to chopping. Really go at it, too. And feel free to leave the remnants nice and chunky, it’ll add to the overall consistency of the ganache. Once you have completed that, toss those suckers into a bowl.
  • At this point, pick yourself up a saucepan, and throw your cream inside. Let that boil, then using the most finesse you can muster, drizzle it atop that previously chopped chocolate in the bowl.
  • And stir, stir, stir. Keep going until you can almost see yourself in chocolate – it has to be that shiny. That is when you will know you are done.
  • Pick up your butter, and throw it in a different bowl. You’re going to want to beat that bad boy up until it’s good and soft. Then, when you notice that your cream/chocolate bowl has mellowed out to around room temperature, you can gradually add in that newly beaten butter. Be sure to expertly stir this mixture, you will want to incorporate all those flavors (and potency) in as much as you can.
  • Now, comes the booze.  Literally.
Pour that sweet, sweet sauce into your chocolate-cream-butter mixture. That’s basically it for the ganache part of this recipe. Throw that mixture into the fridge, but don’t let it get too stiff.
  • Preheat stove to 250°.
  • Now for the truffles, themselves.
Just grab some puff pastry dough, and start rolling them into little balls – and cook them for 30-40 minutes at around 250° – just be sure they don’t burn.
  • Then grab yourself a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, as well as that ganache mixture. At this point, you’ll want to thoroughly cover each dough ball with as much ganache as you can, then strategically place it on the baking sheet. Continue this process until all your dough balls are covered.
  • Then, using a piping bag, fill the interior of your truffles. Once each is chock full of chocolatey-cannabis goodness, throw that baking sheet into the fridge. Let that linger in the frigid temperature for a half hour or so. Then, head back over to that ice box and release your new treats out into the world.
  • If you are so inclined, you can reheat that leftover ganache in the microwave, and use it as an all-encompassing drizzle, if you dare. But, if you feel like you’ve done a good enough job (which I’m sure you have), the only thing left to do at that point is: chow down.
  • And that’s how you make Chocolate Canna Truffles.

Our Latest Step-By-Step Guide On How To Make Cannabis Flour Recipe
Now, I’m sure you are probably saying, “But…wait. I don’t have any cannabis-butter. What should I do?” Well, I’m glad you asked, my fellow stoner. There’s a couple ways to go about solving this cannabis-butter predicament of yours.
One, and the most sensible option, is you could go to your local dispensary and grab a tub of some professionally-made THC-infused butter for all of your culinary needs. There may even be a delivery service in your area that could bring the butter to you. It all depends on your location. However, if there aren’t any ganja butter retailers in your local vicinity, no worries. You can always make your own.
Now, in order to make your own cannabis butter, you will only need a couple things.
You will need some regular butter and some ground up cannabis – I would say roughly a cup’s worth of each. First, you will need to decarboxylate your ganja. You do this by placing the cannabis flower, ground up, in a saucepan. Keep the heat at around 240° – no more, no less. Any higher and you’ll ruin your bud – trust me.
Then, add that butter (melted) into the pan along with it. Keep that concoction on a nice simmer for a while, making sure to stir the contents up every now and then. At this point, you’ll need to grab a strainer (preferably, some cheesecloth) and a container to store it in. Through the strainer device of your choosing, pour your cannabis-butter mixture into the container. Be sure to sift out any chunky floral components that may linger in the blend, you won’t want those messing with your final buttery product.
Then, throw that in the fridge until it reaches your desired butter consistency.
And – boom. You just made cannabis-infused butter that you can use for this, and any other, recipe. Congratulations.
