Mendo Breath Syringe
Strain: Mendo Breath Syringe - Hybrid
Contributor: Asia Mayfield
Product price: 0.5g ($22.99)
RSO’s Mendo Breath Syringe tests at 83.5% THC. The CBD content is negligible at 1.4%. Shango sells the tiny syringe, filled with 0.5g of infused oil, for $22.99. It’s one of the few concentrates carried by the dispensary that wasn’t made in-house.
Up until the moment you use it, the Mendo Breath syringe is adorable. It’s smaller than most, a tiny, chunky needle filled with gooey cannabis oil. The idea is that you can give yourself precise doses when you squeeze the goo onto flower. However, because it’s so thick, the oil is hard to squeeze out. Trying to get a dose becomes a chore.
There’s almost no smell. The slight aroma that does drift into my nose smells like muddy roses. The floral notes are the strongest. I don’t have any experience with Mendo Breath buds, so I’m not sure if the oil smells similar to its floral inspiration.
Making cannabis concentrates is an intense process. Often, the terpenes can’t survive. That’s why concentrates usually don’t smell (or taste) as strong as flower. Mendo Breath oil, however, retains a distinct flavor. The smoke tastes like charred wood mixed with gasoline. It’s not an appealing flavor profile, to say the least.
You’ll get high, that’s for sure.
The oil reaches 83.5% THC, so there’s no way to avoid it. However, the experience was lacking. The syringe tip is barely larger than a needle, but the oil is incredibly viscous. It’s hard to push out; the hole was constantly gummed with clumps of oil. That thick, dried honey consistency also made it hard to smear the goo on a joint, or bowl.
Whip out a syringe at your next party and watch what happens. Your friends are going to think you’re a drug addict. If you can get past how bizarre using a syringe feels, RSO’s Mendo Breath will get you good and high. If you’re not an experienced smoker, however, dealing with thick oil might be a bit of a hassle.
Skip this one. If you want to experience the novelty of using a syringe to pump out your cannabis oil, you have better options than RSO’s Mendo Breath Syringe. The oil is too thick and gummy to be enjoyed.

To be honest, Shango should be a whole lot more popular than what it is now. They have an amazing location on Boulder Highway. They are surrounded by casinos and hotels that they should be capitalizing on, yet they aren’t making as much as they could be. And I think it has everything to do with their looks.
Unless you were otherwise filled in about the cannabis contents this place has to offer, you would’ve never thought this place was a dispensary. It’s a massive building, too. It looks like it would sooner sell cars or sofas, but folks in the know are well aware of all the dank that lives inside.
That same yawn-worthy appeal carries onward into their interior, as well. Everything is just boring.
But, despite their lackluster appearance, they always come through with a solid selection of buds. And, at the end of the day, isn’t that what matters most? I certainly think so.
