Who doesn’t love classic cannabis brownies? I know I do. These are easily some of the most effective (and delicious) THC treats known to man. Dispensaries these days are veritable candy shops for cannabis enthusiasts, and they offer up a whole lot more than just pot brownies. If you can think of it, someone, somewhere, has fully infused it with marijuana, and the cannabis community couldn’t be happier about it. And that goes double for the world of edibles.

It was usually the same 2-3 options to pick from, like pot brownies and other treats of this nature. Which, don’t get me wrong, was all well and good, but the community was (literally) hungry for some variety. And, in a few short years, we all became overwhelmed with an onslaught of tasty THC options, the likes of which are getting better and better every day – both in taste and in potency. Soon, hoards of eager cannabis enthusiasts were flocking to their neighborhood cannabis clubs, excitedly looking for the next “big thing” to try in the realm of ingestible marijuana. And they are rarely disappointed. They’ve come out with all sorts of things these days. They have all kinds of beverages, crackers, pies, cakes, hell, they even have French Onion Soup Mix, for crying out loud. It’s crazy!

There’s something nostalgic and familiar about this line of iconic cannabis treats that always hits the spot every single time. Sure, it’s easy to be tempted by the wealth of snacks and treats found at the typical dispensary, but if you harken back to the legends of the edible game, you’ll see what sparked all of this culinary creativity in the first place. Now, when I say “legends,” I am, of course, referring to the true O.G.s in the edible world. I’m talking about your cookies, your gummies, but mostly, I am talking about pot brownies.

They are, without a doubt, the most famous edible interpretation of cannabis this world has ever known. Chocolate and cannabis first fell in love in the middle of a bowl of brownie batter, and the world has never been the same since – and I mean that in the best way possible (obviously). So, why mess with a good thing? Just pick up a couple brownies the next time you’re at the dispensary, and you should be good to go. But, actually, on second thought, why relegate all of those culinary duties to some random company that you don’t know much about, when you can just as easily whip up a batch of THC-fueled brownies at home? Which is precisely why I’m here.

Alright, once you’ve successfully obtained all of these necessary ingredients we can get started
- Preheat to a standard 350°.
- Then, as that sucker warms up to that desired temperature, you can grease an 8” cake pan with some non-stick cooking spray, or generic butter, depending on what you have on hand at the time.
- After that, you’re going to want to melt both of your butters in a medium-sized saucepan over a trusted heat source set on “Medium.”
- After those have completely melted, you can then stir in your chocolate. Keep that stirring going until all of the chocolate has smoothly mixed in with both butters.
- When that happens, you can remove the saucepan from the heat source, and place it on the counter to cool down a touch. I’d say, leave it alone for 5 minutes or so.

- As that mellows out, you can grab a small bowl for mixing. In it, you can whisk together your baking powder and flour.
- Following that, you’ll want to grab a larger bowl, again for mixing purposes. In this one, you’ll want to whisk together your sugar, eggs, salt, and vanilla extract. Keep that whisking going until you develop a light, fluffy mixture.
- When you hit that desired consistency, you can then add your chocolate mixture to the large bowl, and blend those elements in with one another to the best of your ability. After that, repeat that same process with your dry flour components. And, again, keep that stirring and whisking going until everything is adequately blended and mixed in with one another.
- When you’re happy with how everything is looking, simply transfer that batter into your previously-greased pan, and toss that bad boy in the oven to bake for about 20-25 minutes.
- You’ll know it’s ready to go when you see the edges of the batter separate themselves from the pan. Also, when you spot the top of the mixture starting to take on a shiny, even complexion, you can remove the brownies from the oven.
- Place them on the counter to cool for about another 20 minutes or so.
- When they mellow out a touch, simply grab a knife, and cut these brownies into 12 similarly-sized pieces to ensure even dosing throughout, and, boom, that’s it.
